Apple Blossoms Everywhere!

Spring has sprung in Ellijay and it puts a spring in my step. The apple blossoms will be at their peak this weekend and R and A Orchards on Highway 52 will be the place to be on Sat. Orchard rides will be spectacular. You might want to get around the crowds by coming Friday. Rides are 2-5 Friday and 10-5 Sat., but closed Easter Sunday! Their market is open 8:30-6:00 daily and always filled with fresh delights.

If you can't make it this weekend, then make plans to come to Ellijay's FIRST Apple Blossom Festival May 3 and 4th in East Ellijay. There will be food, arts/crafts, business booths all on Craig St. It's free and pets like ME are allowed. Come by our tent, Dragonfly Dreams Luxury Cabin Rentals, and meet me, Riley the West Highland Terrier, on Sat. afternoon. Mom and Dad will be giving out freebies. Downtown Ellijay Scarecrow Invasion 2013

If you missed the scarecrow invasion, there is always next year. Walking around historic downtown Ellijay in October is a treat and the trick is to find a parking place! Shops were bulging with wares. Restaurants were cooking up delights. AND the scarecrows showed the imagination of a community.

We at Dragonfly Dreams Luxury Cabin Rentals had our own entry in front of the North Star Emporium. We called it, "Froggy's Gone Fishin'" and it looks like Froggy has caught me on his line! The Ellijay Chamber of Commerce liked our entry so much that we were awarded third place! There were were some incredible entries and so much fun to see them all.
