Downtown Ellijay Scarecrow Invasion 2013

If you missed the scarecrow invasion, there is always next year. Walking around historic downtown Ellijay in October is a treat and the trick is to find a parking place! Shops were bulging with wares. Restaurants were cooking up delights. AND the scarecrows showed the imagination of a community.

We at Dragonfly Dreams Luxury Cabin Rentals had our own entry in front of the North Star Emporium. We called it, "Froggy's Gone Fishin'" and it looks like Froggy has caught me on his line! The Ellijay Chamber of Commerce liked our entry so much that we were awarded third place! There were were some incredible entries and so much fun to see them all.

With Christmas coming, remember puppies are not Christmas presents. They are forever family members that require love, time, attention, and vet bills! I'm Riley (a sweet and sassy West Highland Terrier) and this is my life living in the North Georgia Mountains. Mom and Dad rescued me a few years ago and now I'm living the life of Riley! Since my parents have opened Dragonfly Dreams Luxury Cabin Rentals in the Ellijay and Blue Ridge area, they have given me a new and important job. I recently dropped by the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce to deliver our new and beautiful rack cards to advertise our new company where I met with Ruth and Anita.
